SeraSense® SF 6

Description

SeraSense SF 6 is a 6cS low cyclic, low viscosity silicone fluid. In cosmetics applications, the low viscosity of 6cS dimethicone makes the ingredient an extremely good spreading agent, which creates a non-tacky moisture barrier in skin creams and lotions. This fluid can also eliminate the whitening or ‘soaping’ effect seen in W/O emulsions.  Soluble in alcohols.

KCC Beauty dimethyl silicone fluids known chemically as polydimethylsiloxanes, are available in various viscosities ranging from 0.65cS to 60,000cS. They are clear, non-toxic, inert and odourless fluids.

Recommended usage level is 1.0 – 50% however depends heavily on application.

D4 and D5 levels are <0.1%.
