Description

 

SeraSilk® EL 81 is a mixture of a high molecular weight crosslinked silicone elastomer in dimethiconol and isododecane. The non-volatile dimethiconol gives excellent spreadability, whereas the volatile isododecane gives a non-tacky, dry, smooth feel.  SeraSilk® EL 81 is made from ingredients of EWG Green 1 grade.

 

SeraSilk® EL 81 has a transparent appearance because of the very low degree of crosslinking than other elastomer blends.  It remains crystal clear on dilution in low molecular weight silicones.  It contains <0.1% D4 and D5.

 

KCC Beauty silicone elastomer blends are strong mattifying agents and are ideal for use in colour cosmetics applications where their sebum absorbing properties offer a matte, smooth and non-greasy appearance. They have the ability to increase formulation oil phase viscosity and produce a dry, silky smooth skin feel.

Recommended usage level 1 – 90%, but highly dependent on application.
